Thor è
una divinità e supereroe in evoluzione nell'universo Marvel
della casa editrice Marvel Comics. Creato dall'editor Stan Lee,
dallo scrittore Larry Lieber e dal fumettista Jack Kirby, il personaggio
di fantasia appare per la prima volta nel fumetto Journey into
Mystery # 83 dell'agosto 1962.
Il personaggio
di Thor è basato sulla sua controparte nella mitologia
norrena. L'Asgardiano è noto per essere uno dei membri
fondatori e membro ricorrente del team Avengers. È stato
il personaggio principale di tre serie regolari e serie limitate.
Appare in molti prodotti derivati: serie di animazioni e videogiochi.
L'attore australiano Chris Hemsworth incarna il personaggio in
diversi film dell'universo cinematografico Marvel.
Thor è
un personaggio dei fumetti creato da Stan Lee e Jack Kirby nel
agosto del 1962, edito dalla Marvel Comics. Jack Kirby disegna
i primi sette episodi (quindi 13 pagine) prima di consegnare il
personaggio a Don Heck, Joe Sinnott e Al Hartley; Stan Lee propone
sempre le basi delle storie, ma è suo fratello, Larry Lieber,
che più spesso scrive la sceneggiatura. Dal numero 97,
Kirby torna su questo fumetto ma disegna una serie complementare
a quella di Thor, intitolata Tales of Asgard. Questa serie presenta
le avventure di Thor nell'universo di Asgard prima che egli si
sia incarnato sulla Terra nelle vesti di Don Blake. Quindi, partendo
dal numero 101, il duo Lee - Kirby riprende in mano la serie principale
di Thor. A Jack Kirby si deve la creazione di personaggi pittoreschi
come Rigelliens, cavalieri Wundagore, e la bella Sif, dea guerriera
fidanzata di Thor .
